Ajax is recognized as a hero of the Trojan war in Greek Mythology and Ajax also happens to be the second name locals use for Aspen's in-town ski area. On the face of it, and as depicted on maps, the mountain looks accessible and inviting. However, looks can be deceiving. While there are areas that are easy to ski, the compact mountain also has some of the most challenging terrain available, is steeped in history and is host to an array of shrines. The accessible parts are upfront, yet at Ajax Mountain Advisors we appreciate the mountain and what it has to offer in its entirety.
